This is a group of ladies eating the national food.  They are not eating from the 'masobe' (see Baskets) but from a table.  However, this does give you an idea of what the food is like and how they eat.  Their food consists of a pancake like bread (injera) that is rather sour and a sauce, which is called 'wat'.  The sauce (wat) is placed on the bread.  They will tear  off the bread and eat the sauce with their fingers.
