Missionaries to Kenya

Prayer Letter
December 2008

What a year! The financial strain is being felt all over the world, and we have done our fair share of crying and complaining. I wonder what will be the future of missions, especially here at Coastal Kenya. Our efforts to raise more support reaped only a little, because of the financial famine. Even so, God has greatly blessed our ministry.

A family in our home church and Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Texas gave us enough money to buy property for two churches! Now, Mikoroshoni Bible Baptist Church and Calvary Bible Baptist Church of Mtwapa have a place to call home! We had enough money to dig a septic pit at both locations, plus a modest pole building for Mikoroshoni. Hallelujah!

We have been praying for help with Mikoroshoni for five years, and now, we are seeing God’s mighty hand doing something for this poor church! We have been praying for Calvary in Mtwapa for a shorter time, but God has been quick and generous! Thank you for your prayers! Thank you for your help!

Thank you for your prayers concerning our finances! The exchange rate between the dollar and Kenya shilling has risen. God has heard your prayers, and is helping us! Thank you!

Your servants in Coastal Kenya,
The Windells
