Dear Praying friends,

Greetings from Dar es Salaam.  It is our trust that you are best in health and joyful as you live each day for Christ.  Again, we would like to bring report of our ministry and family here in Dar es Salaam.  Thank you for taking part of reaching the lost in this part of the world.

OUR FURLOUGH : It seemed apparent that the Lord is closing each door of opportunity for my family to be home for furlough on September as we planned.  We had postponed and we are here to stay until the Lord provides a man to oversee the work while we are gone.  With all the circumstances and the doors closed.  It is obvious that it is not yet time for us.  As His servants it is our joy to follow His will and to be where He want us to be.

MINISTRY : We are enjoying our ministry here in Dar es Salaam more than ever.  One of the blessings we have lately is to see our people responding to the call of the Lord.  One of our young people, Deus Kawaganise surrendered his life for the ministry.  There is no more fulfilling in the life of a missionary than to see people giving their lives for the Lord's work.  I personally know Deus and was not surprised when to Lord called him.  He is a soul winner, an excellent Bible Student and a man of character.  He is still young and needs mentoring.  I am happy to be close to him and be his mentor.

Last Sunday, he made public to the church concerning his calling.  His testimony is forceful and needful for our church to hear.  Most Tanzanians are hesitant to make a full surrender.  Thus, depraving themselves of more fulfilling life as Christian.  Deus already left his job and will work full time in the ministry.  Our church is also ready to provide the needs of their first church worker.  Please continue to pray for him.  Already, he is experiencing trials and testing from every corner.

Four of our young people will be joining the Bible Institute this month.  Each student is required and given ministry in the church.  The Baptist Bible Mission of Tanzania is proving quality Christian and Ministerial education for those who are willing and qualified.  Almost all of the leaders of our local churches are product of the Institute.

CHURCH FACILITIES : We are also doing some progress with our facilities as the Lord provides the needs:  1. Parsonage, the work done lately is the installations of trusses and G.I. roofs.  2. Church Building, receives facelift as the front face and baptistry were done already.  3. Sunday school room, when we bought the plot it has two small buildings.  One building is now being use as church office and storage; the other is old and needs repair.  We plan to remodel into a Sunday school room for the children who are coming to our church.

PRAYER REQUEST : Please continue to pray for the following:

1. Spiritual growth of our people
2. Bible Institute: Pray for the teachers and students as well.
3. God's will as we reschedule our furlough next year.  Also for a pastor to oversee the church.
4. Needs for remodeling of Sunday school Building and remains for the parsonage.
5. Wedding of Oswald and Loyce, our member on October 2

Again, we would like to thank you for your unceasing support and prayers for us.  Let us keep working until He comes.

Your Missionaries,

Jessie and Shalimar Tingson
