June 2004

Dear Praying friends,

We hope that you are doing well.  With this piece is our greetings.  We would like to bring an update on our ministry and family here in Dar es Salaam.  Our trust that you will find joy as you read this report.

CHURCH ORGANIZATION: This is one event that we prayerfully planned since last year but due to some circumstances.  This was always reschedule to another dates.  Finally, on April 25, 2004, The church is finally organized.  We are so thankful for 25 people who signed up.  Some baptized believers are already gone or transferred to other places.  The service was highlighted by testimonies, good singing, reading and signing on the church covenant and fellowship.  Everyone was in good cheer as one by one put their signatures in the Church Covenant.  Pastor Paulo Leoni and family of Bible Baptist Church of Dodoma was our special guests.  Please continue to pray that this church will continue to grow and disciples more believers.  Already, we plan to make some changes when we back from furlough.

FURLOUGH: The need for the airfare is already provided.  The provision came earlier than we expected.  Our special thanks to churches and individuals who help us with this need.  I went to Nairobi, Kenya to process the Report of birth and Passports of Malaika and Imani Ruth.  The Philippine Embassy in Nairobi is the only one in East Africa.  The trip was worth it since I able to return to Dar es Salaam with my daughters passports.  The Lord is gracious to me.  The normal process usually take at least one month but it just took me one day and bring the passports home with me.  We schedule our departure on the second week of September.  Pastor Samsoni Komeka and family will be coming to Dar to be the Interim Pastor while we are gone for furlough.  We are excited of their coming.  He is gifted and his giftedness is a plus to this young church.  Pastor Komeka is the Associate Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Morogoro. Please pray that they will make it here unhindered.

ANNUAL YOUTH CAMPS: This year's camp will be held in three different regions.  As Mission and churches continues to grow.  The need for more Regional camps is a must.  With the growing number of youth attending.  Looking for a suitable venue for all of them together is hard.  Please pray for the national leaders since they are now doing this more by themselves with the missionaries behind providing the necessary assistance.  African camps are characterized by good fellowship, lively singing, preaching and outdoor games.  If you pray for Tanzanian mission, pray also for Lord's provision for a Camp site and facilities.  The Facilities of good kind could use also for Bible College, Training center for nationals and lot more.

CHURCH PARSONAGE: This is another project we started by faith.  Trusting the Lord that He will supply.  At of this writing 30% of work is already done.  Our prayer is to make the parsonage at least good enough for use before our furlough.  We need $3,000 to finish the parsonage.  Let see on how the Lord will help us through this time as He always did in the past.  The parsonage will help our family and the church in the long run.  Since renting here always bring problems and insecurity.

Thank you so much.  Be faithful because He is faithful.  We appreciates your love, prayers and support for Mission.  May God bless you richly.

Your Missionaries,

Jessie and Shalimar Tingson
Malaika and Imani Ruth
