Prayer
Letter March 27, 2008
Dear Praying Family and Friends,
Please forgive me for not getting back with you on the prayer request that I
had ask you to pray for (see below). Therefore, I will update you on God has
answered our prayers.
MY BACK
I had to take two trips to the Chiropractor. After he adjusted my back those
two times and if I am careful and watch it my back does not have the severe
pain it did. Since that Saturday, March 15th that I had to crawl out of bed
that pain basically is gone. So let me say, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR
PRAYERS CONCERNING MY BACK
PRAYER FOR THE MOST DELICATE SITUATION
CONCERNING OUR EMBU CHURCHES.
Thanks to your prayers, and to a letter that our missions director, Bro. Jon
Konnerup, wrote the situation was solved.
I was dreading this
meeting. Back in 1987 just after my wife died the men from our three up
country churches slipped a note under my front door. The note read that they
are demanding that I come to meet them. I should have realized that they
were in the flesh but I went anyway. Due to the fact that one of our
churches deceived us and when our Bible college students went out to it this
church was Pentecostal. But when my children, myself, and the other three
missionaries went out there they switched to become Baptist. Well I am not a
dictator. I decided that my children and I would break fellowship with this
deceiving church as well as the missionaries and a few fellow believers.
Therefore this meeting in which I was demanded turned out real bad. So when
the same churches sent down a letter to me saying they would want to see and
talk to me I said to myself, " well here I go again. But I ask you dear
folks to uplift this meeting in your prayers. My chiropractor mentioned that
the stress from this upcoming meeting probably aided to my bad back. Well
that Saturday morning before I left for the meeting the Lord and I had a
long talk and the conclusion of the talk was that the Lord gave me peace
that all would work out. And friends after I ask our oldest pastor, Jonathan
Karanja, who had been working with me since 1977, to read Bro. Konnerup's
letter and I just let the pastors handle the situation so I really did not
have to. But as I walked into the church building such peace came over me
that all would work out just fine. Isn't our Lord so good. So dear
ones thanks to our Blessed Lord, Bro. Konnerup's letter, and your prayers
God was glorified.
THE WATER SITUATION.
Well folks our tanks were just about to hit the bottom which meant that I
would have to go out and find water trucks and pay for them to bring us
water for Marty, myself, and for the two families living with us. Folks,
thank you so much for praying. God began the long rains. Kenya gets her
water from rivers. So thanks to the long rains starting we have not missed
water even one day. And our very dry yard, flowers, just in a couple of days
all turned green and beautiful once again.
So in closing I have not answered how God answered your prayers.
Together for souls in Africa,
Bro. Stringfield

Earlier Prayer Request is below. =================
Saturday, March 15, 2008 - 9:00 am Kenya
Dear Praying Family and Friends,
This is Saturday morning of the 15 March 2008. I have a full day of meetings
and visitation.
Two days ago my back went out big time.
I went to the chiropractor yesterday and he said it really went out bad. He
treated me and I felt some relief till the evening but this morning when I
awoke I had to crawl out of bed.
It has been a long time (a year or longer) that my back was this bad. The
chiropractor said it probably because of stress. It could be because
today I have our all Kenya team meeting where all the leaders of our 7
churches are coming to our Fellowship Baptist Church here in Kangemi. I must
deal with a very difficult situation with our up country churches.
Here are some urgent prayer request I need you to pray for.
1. My back
2. Wisdom as I deal with a very delicate situation with
our Embu churches.
3. We have not had water now for 3 days. Nairobi is building large, tall
buildings that require lots of water. In the last year alone on our road
several tall building have gone up and the city council of Nairobi does not
have enough water to supply these buildings. We have two Kenyan families
(each have 4 members each) living with us here on our compound which require
lots of water as well. Please pray that we can make it till Monday
with the little water we have left. Come Monday if the Nairobi
City Council does not supply us with water I must go out and hire an
independent water company to bring a water truck of water.
Well I need to go our first of three meetings of today starts in 30 minutes.
Thank you for your prayers,
Bro. Stringfield
