Soccer Match - February 19, 2005
On Saturday,
February 19, 2005, several “assistants” of the Fundamental
Baptist Church of Dassasgo took a transporter to Boulwando
for a soccer match with the Fundamental Baptist Church of
Boulwando. Click any picture for a close look.

Here are several
pictures of the game, which was played on the local school’s
soccer field. Notice the many obstacles in the middle of the
playing field such as the trees. Our goals were made of
branches without any netting.
 It
has been estimated that over 300 people from the village
came out to
watch this match. They usually congregated under one of the
many shade trees like this one here:
During the intermission both teams collapsed under a shade
tree for a
ten minute break before resuming the grueling match.
After the match
ended in a two-two tie, Alexis KABORÉ, brought a brief
devotional of his personal journey from fear to faith.
It was a good testimony for these young village boys and
girls.
We finally headed
back to Ouagadougou with a brief stop in Zhorgo to repair a
tire on the transporter. While in Zhorgo we had
the opportunity to stretch ourselves and refresh ourselves
with drinks and snacks.
