Dave and Bonnie
Dave and Bonnie Jones
are part of a church planting team in Tanzania called Team Tanzania. Beginning
with just two families, the team in Tanzania has now grown to a team of nine
American families, a Kenyan family, and a family from the Philippine Islands.
Along with expatriate missionaries, there are now two Tanzanian missionary
families serving as part of the church planting force. These Tanzanian men and
their families are sent out and supported by the local churches established in
Tanzania.
With over 25 churches established in Tanzania, numbers of Tanzanian pastors
ordained into the ministry, and a Bible school with one hundred students
enrolled, the church planting efforts in Tanzania are moving forward.
For the past several years Dave and Bonnie have been leading their most recent
church plant called
Mbezi Chapel of the Bible
Baptist Church in Dar es Salaam. They have now left that growing ministry
and have relocated to the city of Morogoro, where they are spearheading a new,
nation-wide
youth camp ministry, scheduled to launch in 2010.
Other members of Team Tanzania are currently planting churches in Dar es Salaam,
Arusha, Moshi, Katesh and various village areas..
Family

Dave and Bonnie have two children,
both graduates of Liberty University and serving God with their lives. Their son
and his wife are serving in a restricted access nation and Kyndal, holding a
Health Promotions degree, is preparing for service on the mission field.

Opportunity Knocks
As the Joneses continue to focus on church planting in Tanzania, they also
are involved in various other ministries, including famine assistance, medical
clinics, youth education, and orphanage development. Leadership training and
mentoring of national men and women is their highest priority to ensure a bright
future for the ministry in Tanzania.
If you would be interested in being a part of the Team in some way, or assisting
with one of the various ministry opportunities in Tanzania, please contact
