Road going to new location of Faith Baptist Church.
We mixed all of the concrete by hand. This is very hard work. There are no cement trucks here. This particular morning we started at 5 am. Bob, a member and orphan home builder has a coat on.
After we hand packed the back fill, we sprayed for termites, laid plastic down and con-force wire.
This is the first of many wheel-barrel fulls. This is a great step for our church.
Pangono, pangono, this means, bit by bit in Nyanja. The total pour took 12 hours on each third.
This is what it looked like in
about 2 hours.
In the states we call them “finishers”, here they are called “polishers,” they do a great job with what they have to work with.
Several men and several hours later, a third of the slab was complete, we had to do 3 pours
The is the finished product, except for the platform, it will be raised. We had to keep water on it to prevent cracking, so we made pools on each pour, that’s why the dirt around the edge.
Another look at the whole slab. It’s 33 meters by 11 meters,
110 ft x 32 ft for you Americans.
This is Chabwe, he lives next door to the property in the green house. I led him to the Lord and baptized him. We have several youth that are members of our church due to the Lord directing us to this property.
View from the street.

God give us souls for Your Kingdom

How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel
of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!  Romans 10:15b
