Past Chronicles

Dear Praying Friends,

Tomorrow, Barbara and I will head back across the "Front". We're going to Yamoussoukro to see if there are any houses available and then on to Begbessou to be in the services there on Sunday morning. Any time that one drives down the rebel controled portion of the highway toward the Front there is always a little anxiety. One never knows what to expect. We're really not talking danger here, but rather hassles. Pray with us about the trip, finding a suitable house and then the services in Begbessou. This is the village that we've often spoken of that has been there for over 100 years without a church of any kind. Now due to the war, they have a Pastor and we're excited to see what God is going to do in this new work.

I think that I forgot to mention that our house had been robbed again when we got here. The man that works in the house wanted to get in contact with me to tell me not to bring Barbara here, but there was no way to make contact. We lost some more equipment, a couple of air compressors, an Xerox printer/copier and some other stuff. Oh well, God knows all about it, but the feelings of violation are still there.

God Bless,
Tim & Barbara Downs
