Dear Friends,
When we came to Uganda in 1994, we started Bible Baptist Church in Mbarara
town. We also started a Bible Institute program to train Ugandans for
Christian ministry. Bible Baptist Church is now pastored by an ordained
Ugandan pastor, and I am free to help our other men start new churches. We
now have six other churches that have been started out of Bible Baptist
Church in Mbarara. During a recent Leadership Seminar, we had 35 adult
leaders from the six churches in attendance.
New Church

The newest church is Rukono Bible Baptist Church, deep in
a village area only accessible by four-wheel drive vehicle. I recently
preached there in the Runyankole language on a Sunday morning. There were 25
adults and 22 children in attendance, all crammed into their small,
temporary building. Pray for this new church and for their pastor, Aaron
Betuhura, who is one of the students in our Bible Institute.
Ministry Opportunity
We have twenty-two students in the Bible Institute, and
most of them are active in ministry in their local churches. We have
recently re-organized our Bible Institute program to have a more
concentrated schedule so that the students can spend more time in their
churches. We teach four or five concentrated classes during the months of
January, April, and August. This also makes it possible for visiting
lecturers from the States to come over and teach for one month in our Bible
Institute. Would you like to come and help train pastors in Uganda?
AIDS Orphans
There are currently 42 students enrolled in the Goodwill
Baptist School that Pastor Naboth Atusasire is running as a ministry of
Bible Baptist Church in Mbarara. Of these, 14 are orphans from the orphanage
he has started. These orphans have been rescued from terrible circumstances,
and it is a tremendous blessing for them to be in the orphanage and
Christian school. We still need more sponsors for these dear children. Can
you help?
Our House
We moved into our “mud” house in August. It is still not
completely finished, but it is actually quite nice. The walls are cement
inside and mud outside, which keeps it cool. It has a cement floor, running
water, a flushing toilet, and 12 volt lights that run off a solar electrical
system. We still need to put in the floor tiles, the kitchen cabinets and
counter tops, and finish the shower. Click

Yours in Uganda,
