Dear Friends,
Hussein had been mixed up in every religion. His father is Anglican, his mother is Muslim, and his father’s second
wife is Catholic. Hussein was raised as a Muslim, but left that religion about three years ago to follow his father in the Anglican religion.
Hussein started working for us as a yardman last year. Then he started attending church with us. We were praying for his salvation, and our oldest son, Jonathan, had been witnessing to him. During the preaching time at church, Hussein struggled to find the verses in the Bible and follow along with the message. So our youngest son, David, started teaching him the books of the Bible and how to look up the verses.
Then one evening as David was teaching Hussein about the Bible, he decided to take him through the “Romans Road” and explain the way of salvation. Hussein listened carefully, and afterwards said that he had never done that, but would like to do so now. David prayed with him, and Hussein invited Jesus into his heart to be his Lord and Savior!
Now David is going through a discipleship course with Hussein and helping him understand more about his new life in Christ. Last Sunday after church, Hussein said, “I never used to get anything from the pastor’s messages, but today I understood everything!” It is exciting to see Hussein growing in the Lord. Please pray that he can be a witness to his lost family.
Thank you for your support and prayers that make it possible for us to be here in Uganda as witnesses for Christ. Hussein is another example of fruit that abounds to your account.
Yours for Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia DanielsWeb Editor - Don Tarvin
